Halloween plushie discounts


Starts September 14th – October 31th, 2009
I'm running a Halloween special on my plushies - commission a monster/demon/costumed plushie and get the Extra Charges free in addition to $4 off the shipping. Meaning if the plushie you commission is a monster (i.e Krusnik Abel), youkai (i.e. Sesshoumaru), half youkai (i.e. Inuyasha), demon (Chrno from Chrono Crusade) OR any character in a Halloween costume (i.e. Winry dressed as a black cat) then you get the Halloween special discount. Now I have 9 costumes that would qualify for the free costume option -

1)black cat with ears & tail
2)witch with hat & black dress
3)devil with horns & pitchfork
4)angel with halo & wings
5)vampire with blood, fangs, & a cape
6)dog with floopy ears & tail
7)cowboy/girl with bandana, foam hat, & boots
8) indian girl with fringed brown dress (with optional red & blue “beads” around neck), moccasins, & head band with small feather. Indian boy is wearing brown loincloth and beads.
9) bunny with floppy ears & cotton ball tail

Any other costumes besides the above 9 will cost $1 extra but you will still get the $4 off the shipping. So any plushie ordered with the Halloween special will cost $25.80 (with shipping) instead of $29.80 with shipping. The shipping for one plushie is $4.80 so that is the example I am using, if you commission more than one then it is still $4 off that shipping price.

Plushie(s) must be ordered no later than October 20th. That way I'll have enough time to complete them and it/they will arrive before Halloween.

Now the special will last until October 31st but I will *NOT* guarantee completion and shipment before the 31st if you order them *after* the 20th. I have to at least give myself a week to complete them to have the plushie(s) arrive before Halloween.

Now if you *don't* mind the plushie(s) arriving after the 31st *then* feel free to order after the 20th, I will still craft it and you will still get the Halloween special price.
This special can be combined with the permanent Buy 4 get 1 half off special.

Just three little letters changes the whole process of getting it back online. You will still be able to get to it by doing a search just for "Plushiecraft" but you'll need to make sure it goes to the ".net" and not the ".com" or you won't get my site. What took so long to get it back up and running is I lost the background formatting so had to recreate the main pages just about from scratch. It's only taken me a week and a half to get it mostly up but consider that I have 7 main pages and 99 individual design pages (crafted 103 plushies but four were doubles) to recreate. Each individual design page has at least 2 picture thumbs (some have three and four)and have to link the thumbs on the individual pages to the larger picture on another site then I have to link each individual page to the thumbs on the Design page. Once I get all the individual pages finished and relinked, I *then* have to go back into the coding on the Design page and add in the pop up box with the character name and anime (when you mouse over each picture it shows up). So this is a massive amount of work to get it back up and it's just taken me quite a while to do it. Plus the website creating software I have isn't supported by Bravenet so I'm doing it mostly with the online Text/Visual Editors that Bravenet provides and with Word so it's not a fast or easy process to create each page.

Due to a domain issue, my website Plushiecraft.com is offline until after 8/13/2009. Pricing and Specifications

Specifications:
I have two sizes I make, the "Tiny" size stands at 12 inches tall and the "Mini" stands at 6 inches tall. I normally do the Tiny size so if you want the Mini you must specify that before I start.

All plushies will have synthetic hair and removable felt clothing.

All plushies come with fingers and toes.

Plushies start at $25 (base) each, unless I have to special order something and then I will let you know before I take the commission. Shipping is not included in the $25 base price. Both sizes cost the same since even though the Mini is half the size of the Tiny, it is twice the amount of work to make.

The base price of $25 covers synthetic hair and one set of clothing (shirt, pants and shoes - girls have a choice of shirt and pants or dress/skirt with top). Anything beyond that is listed under Extra Charges.

It takes me from one to three weeks per plushie "set" as I make each by hand. I only take up to five plushie commissions at one time, I have done more than that at one time before and will not do that again.

As I complete each stage, I will keep you updated with pictures. These are just quick pictures so the lighting will not be perfect and you will have to ignore the background. I consider stages things such as when the plushie is sewn and stuffed, when it gets clothes, etc.

I do not consider weapons to be accessories and will not be making them, I do reserve the right to change my mind about that if they are an important part of the clothing so ask first and I may include it.

If the character needs specially designed clothes and I need to make patterns that will add to the time taken.

Also "accessories" (see below) such as the pocket watch Rosette from Chrno Crusade wears adds to the time it takes me to make it. Wings are considered accessories.

OCs have a special "copyright to" on the left butt cheek at no extra charge but I require $10 of the $25 base up front because I can not and will not sell them to anyone other than the creator.

I also do characters from fanfics and these are treated just like OCs - with $10 due up front and I only make them for the author of the fiction. Now there are two exceptions to that: 1) if you want to give the author a plushie of their character as a gift then I will craft the plushie. 2) if you contact the author and have received permission to have a plushie of a character from their fiction then I will craft it but you must have the author contact me to give me the permission directly. These plushies also have the option of a free specialty butt stamp with the fic's name and author's name on it.

If you wish to give a plushie as a gift let me know. Gift plushies get a free message card to carry any special message you wish to give the new owner. It's only the size of a business card so the message needs to be a little short.

I do offer a special "Property Of" on the left butt cheek but that is extra

I prefer payment through Paypal but if you don't have that other arrangements can be made but I will have to wait for payment to clear before shipping the plushie. Payment is not due until after I complete the plushie. I do accept money orders but they must be U.S. Post Office money orders (the ones issued by the Post Office) as those are the only ones I can get cashed.


I will make any character with just a couple exceptions:

characters that already have an official plushie - exceptions to that is if the plushie is from an AU fanfiction i.e. Inuyasha, Kagome, etc, from "Temple of the Dog" written by Urd-chan. Or if you want to leave off or add something to them., i.e Miroku's official plushie does not have his beads, Hanyou and Human Inuyasha do not have fundoshi. Or if you wish to change their outfit like Puppy Paw Print Kagome.

any character that I do not like, there aren't many of these so most likely this won’t come up but ask about a character first.

I also do "adult" plushies but I require proof of age, so if you are not 18 or over don't ask for it.

I will even do real people, OC characters and characters from anime series or games that I am not familiar with but I will need a full description and pictures for reference.

For "Real People" plushies, I can now take a picture of the person's face and use it as the plushie's face. This is only for regular people - no famous people. Meaning if you commission a plushie of your child, parent, other family member, or friend and wish to use a real picture that is allowed. But if you commission a plushie of Gackt or Brad Pitt you can not use a real picture of their faces. This is not a specialty item so no Extra Charges will apply to it.


I do reserve the right to turn down a commission due to time constraints. I will not take on more plushies than I can handle in a reasonable time frame, I don't feel right in making someone wait an unreasonable amount of time for a plushie so if I can not take one I will say so in the beginning.

If I do, I will at the very least let you know when I will be able to take the commission and ask that you contact me again around that time.

If you need a plushie by a certain date (birthday, graduation date, etc) let me know and I will do my best to get it done by that time.

I am flexible on getting the full payment itself. Meaning if you commission a plushie and something comes up that you have to wait to pay me (family emergency, wait for payday, etc), then I don’t mind holding onto the plushie for a little while. Just let me know as soon as possible BEFORE I complete the plushie and I will make arrangements for that.

ALSO if I complete a plushie and tell you it is ready to go once you send your payment but do not hear back from you within six months you lose all rights to that commission. Meaning if you commission a plushie and then drop off the face of the internet (specificly meaning I have absolutely no emails/contact from you), I will hold the plushie for six months before selling it otherwise. Regular anime/game characters will be sold to the first buyer who asks and OC/fiction based plushies will be dismantled and you will lose the $10 deposit. BUT if you let me know something has happened then that is "making other payment arrangements" and I will hold the plushie with no problem. The six month rule is where I don't hear from you at all - no email and no comments here (or Etsy). Meaning if you can't get to the email to email me but leave me a message here or through Etsy, you are fine. Or if you can't get to the internet at all and ask a friend to contact me, I will hold the plushie because that DOEs count as letting me know.

Plushie(s) do not ship until payment in full has been received. The only exception to this is the $10 upfront on OCs or fiction based plushies as I need this before I even start the plushie.

Extra Charges
Each one is $1. Except for an OC charge - if I am doing an Original Character $10 of the $20 base charge is due up front before I start the plushie.

Hair: anything that is complicated or that I don't keep a stock of the color
Complicated- defined (these do carry the $1 Extra Charge)

if hair stands straight up i.e. Krusnik Abel's hair

if hair is so short I need to special order it i.e. Kirby's hair is almost short enough to be a buzz cut

if hair is curly or wavy

Color stock - defined (these do not carry the $1 Extra Charge)
if hair is two colors i.e. sandy blond, red with black streaks, blond with black streaks - that is extra.

Colors I keep in stock
blonde
white - this is glow in the dark, if you want non-glowing then I have to special order it and you will be charged the $1 extra charge
purple
black
dark brown
bright red

Ash blond hair, light gray, and light brown hair are HAND DYED by me so if a plushie needs that color hair then let me know asap because I might have to dye it before starting the plushie and that will add to the time taken. Also since these are hand dyed, this does cost extra.

Clothes: extra clothes beyond pants, shirt, and shoes

Extra clothes - defined
cape or jacket that goes over shirt i.e. Chrno's jacket or Loki's jacket, Abel Nightroad's short cape that goes over his "robes" is extra even thought it is very small and considered part of the robe, the short cape that goes over Chrno's jacket is not considered part of his jacket so it does carry an extra charge.

more than one kimono i.e Adult Rin wears three kimonos so one charge covers the two extra kimonos, this charge is not applied if you decide to use "fake" kimonos for Rin - meaning just a collar is showing under the top kimono but she's only wearing one complete kimono.

extra outfits in addition to the one the character is wearing i.e. extra Pretear costumes to match each Knight (6 knights), one charge covers 1-3 outfits. If you want more than three extra outfits then an extra $1 is added for each set of three. i.e. total of six extra outfits is charged $2.

if a shirt, pants, or shoes have a design on them that I have to make a stencil to paint it i.e. Hyde's shirt has a glittery winged cross on it or the wings on the back of Ina's shirt, that is extra.

also if the clothes have a specific pattern (instead of a solid color) I will charge the extra charge since I will have to special order the pattern. If it is simply adding paint to make the pattern then there is no extra charge. Though there are some patterns that I cannot paint so ask first. i.e. Canon Rin's kimono is orange and white, the orange is painted and is not extra.

if I have to make the clothes out of a material other than felt i.e. ToTD Kagura's red and white striped shoulder cloth.

Jewelry or accessories: anything extra that I have to make or buy - these do cost extra.

Wings are considered accessories and are extra. All wings are hand made by me, meaning you can even chose how the wing is shaped or what color. Black or white wings are standard colors, for other colors please ask first as I may not have that color in stock.
Adult minded: picture proof of age will be required.



Shipping:
Shipping for one plushie is $4.80 and $5.37 for two, if you commission more than two I will have to calculate the cost before taking the commission. And this is for U.S. shipping only, international shipping is available upon request.

I ship using the 2-3 day Priority Mail. If shipping outside of the US then I will have to go with something else and calculate the shipping to give the commissioner the best rate. Also I only charge exactly what the US Postal Service charges so if postal rates go up then so will the shipping. So if the shipping is more than the above two rates due to a postal rate hike or due to the area the plushies are being shipped to, then I will let you know and have to ask for the extra cost. Usually if I know the state the commission is going to beforehand then I can calculate this before payment is due.

Due to the loss of the bolt fabrics at my local Walmart, I will now have to order all my fabric online. And due to the added cost of this I am having to raise my base price from $20 to $25 starting June 1st, 2009.

I regret having to do this but if I don't then just the shipping on my fabrics would eat up any profit I make on my plushies and I don't have a lot of that as it is.

Now the change will not take effect until June 1st so if you know that you definately want a plushie before then, please commission it now. Even if I start it after June 1st, as long as you commission it now it will have a "saved spot" and you will receive the $20 base price. Anything commissioned after June 1st will have the $25 base price attached. And you do have to definately want a plushie to receive the old price, once you email me saying "yes I want this one" and we start to iron out the details then I consider the plushie as commissioned and save a spot for it.

Also I am *very* flexible on time and when payment is due. So if you have one that needs to get somewhere by a certain date, let me know right off and I'll do everything I can to get it done on time. And if you have to wait a few days for your pay to come in, I do not mind waiting for the payment since it is not due until I complete the plushie(s)and have no problem waiting until your pay comes in.

Custom Made Plushies

Plushies stand just under 12 inches tall and will have synthetic hair and felt clothing. I can be emailed at plushiecraft@gmail.com to agree on the complete terms of the commission. This size is named "Tiny".

I have now added a new size - Mini. Mini stand at 6 inches tall compared to the Tiny which is 12 inches so if you want a Mini please specify size when commissioning them. Minis are also the same price as Tinys - they are half the size but twice the work.

If the hair is an odd color or style, it will be extra - i.e Krusnik Abel's hair stands straight up and would be extra or the character has very curly blue hair, etc. Jewelry or any accessory that I have to make is also extra i.e Inuyasha's necklace or Rosette's (Chrono Crusade) pocket watch. If the character's clothes have a design on them that I have to paint on that is extra i.e the winged cross on Hyde's shirt.

Each of these extra charges are only $1 each so most plushies should not be over $30, if the commission is going to cost more than that I will let you know before taking the commission.

I will be at Animazement 2009 [link] in Raleigh N.C. this coming May 22-24th. I'll be carrying around a couple of my plushies (look for the girl who has the plushies with wig hair)so stop me and tell me what you think of them in person If you can't find me, look for the Pink Door Inc. table (it'll have a pink tablecloth) that Urd-chan will be at (unless she's not able to get a table). If I'm not there, they can call me and I'll be right over. I know that I'll definately be carrying Shurei Ko (Story of Saiunkoku) and Winry (Full Metal Alchemist) but I haven't decided on who else I'll have with me. If you see me and want a certain one, please ask me - I have a few in stock and might end up bringing them with me. I plan on being there off and on all weekend so even if I leave it at home, I can always bring it the next day if you want one of the in stock ones.

Lately I've been doing a lot of specials on my plushies and am now in need of some suggestions for the specials. Next holidays are St. Patricks, Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. So I need ideas of what I can do for those days and what kind of special discount (Halloween's was $3 off shipping) I can run for them. Pick any one or ones you want and toss out suggestions, even an off the wall one can help me. If I can use the suggestion I'll give you some kind of deal on any plushie for you, I'll mark it in my records somewhere so you can use it whenever you want. So any one have some ideas?
